2013 – summary

2013 has seen Call42 undergoing a shift form a national survey to a national network platform for workplace ministry in South Africa. This started of with a strategic brainstorming session at the beginning of the year with a group of workplace ministry leaders. Since then Call42 has also been getting exposure through various media channels to create more awareness of what God wants to do through people’s lives at work.

The media that have published or broadcasted interviews with members of the Call42 team include Radio Pulpit, Radio Namakwaland, Link FM, Kingfisher FM, Radio Tygerberg, CCFM, Vision Magazine and Kerkbode. Included in this a the planning of radio programs to help equip Christians to effectively live there calling in the workplace.

Together with Call42’s network of workplace ministry organisations Call42 wants to help equip Christians to live their calling practically at work. Another initiative that has been undertaken is the implementation of webinars, also as a tool to equip Christians by streaming presentations through the internet. The topics have been focused thus far on calling and how it relates to our work environment.

By building a network Call42 aims to engage equipping organisations like workplace ministries and churches with those that have a need to gain more knowledge on living purposefully at work. The initiative has grown since the beginning of the year and is also currently registered as a non-profit organisation.Thank you to everyone who supported the initiative and contributed testimonies. God bless you over the holidays.
