Call42’s strategy for establishing a network platform for workplace ministry in South Africa has been forwarded the last couple of months by establishing a network in Gauteng.AIn October Call42 held a strategic consultation with a group of workplace ministry leaders in Gauteng. Two of the outcomes form the Gauteng session include:
The initiative in Gauteng will unite and align as a network of kingdom-minded workplace ministries and organisations under the Call42 banner. The Gauteng network steering group will continue to grow joint events and network opportunities. The consultation session paved the way for greater unity among equipping organisations to expand God’s Kingdom in the working environment.
Call42 is not an organisation that equips believers for the workplace but a platform for providing information on workplace ministry in South Africa and also wants to serve as a central point of communication for networking connections to take place. The Call42 network does include equipping organisations and aims to engage working Christians with these organisations. An example of this is the seminar that took place on 15 November presented by Patrick Kuwana form Crossover Transformation.
Call42 has also gained open doors in the media and some of these channels are: Radio Pulpit, Radio Namakwaland, Kingfisher FM, Link FM, Radio Tygerberg and vision magazine. Call42 is currently also working on a 5 week radio program and looking to expand this to other radio stations in 2014.
